USS Flat Washers
USS Flat Washers were among the first known commercial flat washers in the U.S.A. They are characterized as having a loose fit, and have a larger outside diameter than SAE Flat washers. The USS designation was derived from the name “Unified Standard Series.” At the time, coarse threaded bolts were called USS bolts.
