Drill Chucks
Drill chucks are clamp-like devices used to hold a drill bit or other cutting tools on a spindle. They are available in keyed, keyless or hybrid systems, allowing for quick changes of a drill bit. A keyed chuck has a set of teeth around the circumference of the chuck, and the bit is tightened in the chuck by twisting a geared key against the teeth, rotating the chuck. A keyless chuck is one that can be tightened by hand. A hybrid chuck can be tightened either by hand or by the key.
