Batteries & Holders
In electronic hardware, batteries are self‑contained electrochemical devices that store energy and provide a DC voltage source to power circuits and equipment. They can be single cells or multi‑cell packs, with defined positive and negative terminals that connect into the device’s power path.Battery holders are mechanical and electrical fixtures that provide one or more shaped compartments to locate and retain batteries while making reliable contact to their terminals so power can be routed into the circuit. They are typically plastic or metal structures with springs, tabs, or clips that press against the battery ends, keeping the cells secure against vibration and enabling easy replacement without soldering.
