Deformed Bar Anchors
Deformed Bar Anchors (DBA), also known as rebar, is a type of steel bar used in construction to provide reinforcement in concrete structures. These anchors are specifically designed to enhance the holding power and structural integrity of concrete by embedding into it, often used in applications where substantial load-supporting forces are present.DBAs are typically made from low carbon steel and conform to ASTM A496 specifications. They are designed to meet AWS Specifications D1.1, ensuring they are suitable for welding and concrete connections. The surface of a deformed bar anchor features ribs or deformations, which improve the bond with concrete, reducing the risk of slippage and enhancing the structural integrity of the concrete. This design makes them more effective than plain bars, which lack these surface features and thus provide less friction and bond strength.
