DIN 3861D Compression couplings - Sleeves by Material, Finish and Size

Compression Fittings are used in plumbing and electrical conduit systems and work by compressing an "olive" between two tapered surfaces and the pipe itself. The two surfaces are the body of the fitting, and the nut. As the nut is tightened, the "olive" (made of some softer material), compresses and seals against the pipe.
