ANSI B18.8.2 Coiled Rolled Pins (Spiral Spring Pins) by Material, Finish and Size

Coiled Pins, Spiral Spring Pins, or just SPIROL Pins are self retaining engineered fasteners developed by the SPIROL Corporation in 1948. Spiral pins are manufactured by roll forming metal strip into a spiral cross section of two to three coils. The body diameter is larger than the hole and they have chamfered ends to ease starting the pin in the hole.
