O-Rings & Quad Ring Seals (X-Rings), Ni-Cu Alloy (Monel, K-Monel, etc.)
Both O-rings and quad rings (also known as X-rings or quad seals) are widely used sealing solutions, but they have distinct designs and performance characteristics.An O-Ring has a Circular cross-section (doughnut-shaped), and a smooth surface and they are used in static, reciprocating, oscillating, and low-speed dynamic applications at low to moderate pressures.And X-Ring has a Four-lobed (X-shaped) cross-section, with grooves between the lobes and they are suitable for both static and dynamic (rotary or reciprocating) applications, especially where reduced friction and longer seal life are desired
