1 1/2 Hexagonal Bar
An hexagonal bar is a long, solid metal bar whose cross‑section is a regular hexagon (six equal sides), supplied as stock for machining or fabrication. It is produced in various materials (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and other alloys) and sizes, and is commonly used to machine fasteners, shafts, and other components where the hex shape aids gripping, wrenching, or fixturing during manufacture and in service.
