Files, Rasps & Planers, All ASME Grades of Steel
Files are hand tools used for shaping and smoothing materials, primarily metal and wood. They consist of a hardened steel bar with a series of parallel, sharp-edged teeth cut into the surface.Rasps are similar to files but are designed specifically for shaping wood and other soft materials.Planers are tools used to flatten, reduce the thickness of, and smooth the surface of wood.
