Protective Caps & Plugs, Steel (DIN 7605)

In industrial hardware, protective caps and plugs are temporary or permanent covers used to shield open ends, threads, ports, and studs from damage, contamination, and moisture during manufacturing, storage, shipping, or maintenance. They fit over (caps) or into (plugs) features like pipe ends, fittings, hydraulic ports, and screw threads to prevent dirt ingress, corrosion, impact damage, or fluid leakage until the connection is put into service or reused.
