M8 Shaft Collars (DIN 705a)
A shaft collar is a simple, ring-shaped mechanical component that fits around a shaft. Its main purposes are to hold, position, or locate other components on the shaft, such as bearings, sprockets, or gears, and to act as a mechanical stop. Shaft collars are commonly used in power transmission, automation, and machinery. They can be secured to the shaft using set screws, clamps, or other mechanisms. An adjusting ring (in mechanical contexts, sometimes called an adjustment ring or grade adjustment ring) is a ring-shaped component used to fine-tune the position or spacing of parts.
