V-Belts

Power Transmission Belts are (usually smooth) belts, used to transmit power from one rotating shaft (the driving shaft) to another shaft. The most common form of power transmission belt is a V-Belt, so called because of its shape resembling a modified "V". Some power transmission belts can be toothed, and timing belts are usually always toothed, but V-Belts are the most common form of power transmission belt.

Common applications of V-Belts are:

  • • Combustion Engines
  • • Mowing Equipment
