Rod End Clip
A Rod End is a mechanical device that allows a motion in one direction to be transferred to motion in another direction. If the Rod End is large, then the fixing device is usually a Clevis Pin, or a bearing, however if the rod is small (such as the locking device in a car door), then the locking device is a Rod End Clip, or a Lock Rod Clip. This clip attaches to one of the parts, usually centered over the hole, while another part of the clip snaps down on the rod, locking it in place.
