Cotter Pin (Split Pin), 400 Stainless (405, 410,416,420,430 etc.) (ANSI ASME 18.8.1)
Split Pins, also known as Cotter Keys, or Cotter Pins, are “U” shaped metal engineered fasteners with two tines that are inserted into a hole during installation and bent to stop the cotter pin from coming out of the hole.
